IT CAN WORK AGAIN
TEXT: LUKE 8: 2-3; 26-35
MEMORY VERSE: “And he went his way and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him.” (Luke 8:39 KJV)
Nothing can overwhelm the name of Jesus. Every time Jesus steps into a matter there is evidence of change. It is the same Jesus who said what is impossible with men is possible with God. The things that men abandon and give up on, can be revived in the hands of God. For instance, we see reference made to certain women in our text who were healed of evil spirits and infirmities. These women had their minds and bodies taken over and controlled by evil spirits and yet they were living among people and probably did not realise their state. But when Jesus handled their matters, sound minds returned to them and they became divine treasurers.
Similarly, the man of Gadarenes was now living in tombs. People began to withdraw from him. It gradually affected his dressing, affected where he preferred to live. This was the first report” And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs.” After Jesus finished with him people ran to him, people wanted to talk to him and touch him and love him. “Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.”
If you will be willing to draw closer to Jesus and to leave your matter whatever it may be in His hands, He will not say NO to you. He will handle that matter for you by Himself and men shall fear the God you serve because of the work He will do in your life. You will be clothed with honor and no one can despise you again.
