Jerusalem was a city so dear to the Jews but a time came when the city’s wall was destroyed. A city without walls at the time meant a defenceless city, exposed to shame and ridicule. The enemies saw this and ensured they did everything to keep the city this way but thank God for His mercies. Nehemiah arose with his team and rebuilt the wall despite the great opposition from Samballat and his cohorts. These enemies tried to stop the work from progressing but the God of the Jews who is also the Ever Present Help was always available for them.

I don’t know the broken wall in your life which is causing you reproach and dishonour. If you trust God and start to rebuild it, you will finish and get back your glory . Don’t sit back and cry over any broken wall anymore. As you read this devotional, may courage, strength and wisdom overshadow you from the presence of the Most High God to build up every broken wall in your life in Jesus name.

As the mockery and indignation of Samballat and others did not stop the wall and the gates from being built up, so shall nothing stop you from building up every area of your ife that has caused shame, disgrace and reproach in Jesus name.

ACTION POINT: Rise up and rebuild your walls and get back your honour.
